'Cheese'...

Well due to my now being dairy free cheese, or cheese like products, are harder to find esp. if I want soy free... which I do!

There is only one product I can buy within Australia:
Soy-free Cheezly
It’s very very nice. And it doesn’t have that mushy texture of the soy cheeses!
It’s almost a soft cheese, spreadable, sliceable, and meltable.  It has a real nice taste that while not tasting exactly like cheddar cheese, is a very tasty alternative.
I am still in the process of finding places I can buy this in person, I have been ordering online and getting it delivered.
I am hoping to go to the Cruelty Free Shop in Sydney at some point this week!!

Home-made ‘cheeses’ :
There are some blogs that I follow that make their own ‘cheese’. Here are some of my favourites:
Oh she Glows    -  Vegan Parmesan Cheese
Maple Spice      - Baked Almond Fetta
                   - Hickory Smoked Baked Almond Cheese
                   - Cashew Chive Cheese Spread
                   - Herbed Cashew Ricotta

Maple Spice's Baked
Almond Feta

  1. Hey Tegan!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog, I'm always happy to find another local vegan as well!

The Cruelty Free Website that you linked to in this post is also an online store. On the left hand side there are categories of products, click on food and then click on a sub heading like GLUTEN-FREE REFRIGERATED and under that you will find products! You add them to your cart, add shipping and Jessica will send out your order!

I read your about me section, and was really touched by your story and life so far and felt myself thinking "hey, me too" a couple of times while reading :) xox

  2. Hey, I ended up figuring out where to find the food items on the website :D
It is nice to find people with similar food avoidances... but I regret to inform you I am not vegan.
I still eat meat, but I primarily eat vegies, and I avoid dairy, soy, wheat and gluten. I also eat low GI.
I am new to the whole no dairy, soy thing as I decided to make the switch to see if it would help with my health conditions.

Still lovely to meet you :D xo
